WHAT CAUSES DRAIN AND WATERLINE LEAKS?
- Rust Buildup in or Around Water Heaters: Another common water leak is in the pipes that enter and exit your water heater. Over time, rust and sediment can build-up leading to leaks.
- Clogged Drains or Toilets: It’s important to fix a clog as soon as possible, if a clog is left untreated for too long it can lead to pipe leaks, which can turn into an expensive problem.
- External Pipe Leaks: While many leaks can occur inside of your home, external leaks are known to happen as well which can be a result from tree roots and other environmental damage.
- Movement or Deterioration of Pipes: Your pipes can move or rust over time which can result in a leak. Your home’s foundation shifts over time as well, potentially causing pipes to move and leak.
